On May 29, 2019, Moscow hosted the Second Russian Energy Summit "Energy Supply and Energy Efficiency", organized by ENSO. The event is aimed at the top and middle management of companies in the energy industry.
The event was supported by: the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Energy Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Non-Profit Partnership for the Development of Renewable Energy "EUROSOLAR Russia".
The Summit was attended by more than 120 participants, including representatives of energy companies: RusHydro, InterRAO, T Plus, EuroSibEnergo, AtomEnergoSbyt, Gazprom Neft, Tatenergo, Shell Neft, MOESK, Lenenergo, Tyumenenergo, etc. The Summit was also attended by representatives of scientific and design institutes, government agencies. More than 30 energy service companies showed interest in this event, as a result of which they successfully held business meetings at the site.
The business program of the event began with the Congress "Trends in the Development of the Energy Industry of the Russian Federation". Anton Mitsik, the Manager of ENSO, addressed the participants of the Summit with a welcoming speech. The business program of the Summit was opened with a welcome address by Moderator George Kekelidze, Chairman of the Management Board of NP "EUROSOLAR Russia".
During the business program, several presentations were made:
- Kutuzov G., Deputy Chairman of the RF CCI Committee on Energy Strategy and Development of the Fuel and Energy Complex, “The need to continue reforming the power industry. The industry can and should become the “pusher” of the real sector of the economy”;
- Posypayko N., Senior Consultant of the practice "Electric Power Industry", VYGON Consulting, overview of the first results of the competitive selection of thermal generation modernization projects;
- Gerasimov A., Deputy Director General of the Department of System Research and Long-term Development, JSC “STC UPS” on “Features of integration of distributed generation in the power system of UPS of Russia”;
- Dayman S., Director, Head of services in the field of sustainable development in Russia, EY on the topic "Reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the electric power industry of the Russian Federation: achievements and scenarios to 2030".
The business program continued with the technical session "Equipment for power capacity modernization", during which solutions for generating and grid companies were presented. Sponsor of the technical session was LLC "BMT", and the partner was the company "SPETSENERGO". After lunch, there was a thematic session "Digital technologies for energy", which consisted of two sessions: production process management and business process management. In parallel, the session "business process management" sponsored by IBS was held. The last part of the business program was the panel discussion "Centralized energy system vs distributed generation", which summed up the results of the Summit.
Сoncurrently with the business program of the Summit, the Focus exhibition was held all day long, sponsored by the company FINGO-Complex, and supported by the partner - SYBER POWER SYSTEMS.
The guests of the Summit appreciated the high level of organization of the event, the intensity and relevance of the business program. The Russian Energy Summit "Energy Supply and Energy Efficiency" was held for the second time, the next event with a similar theme will be held in May 2020.
