The Breakfast was organized by KFW Banking Group, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Moscow, the German House of Science and Innovation in Moscow, NP "EUROSOLAR Russia" and LLC "EurACons". The event was attended by the German Energy Agency dena, Russian and European manufacturers of renewable energy components, Russian and German scientific organizations, as well as international and national financial institutions dealing with "green finance".
At the very beginning of the event, the participants heard a video message from the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation A. L. Texler on the occasion of the birthday of Zh.I. Alferov, President of the St. Petersburg Academic University-the Scientific and Educational Center for Nanotechnology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics. The address noted the huge contribution of Zhores Ivanovich to the development of energy, including alternative energy, in Russia. The Chairman of the Management Board of NP "Eurosolar" G. Kekelidze also congratulated Zh.I. Alferov. He spoke about the importance of such activities.
The key event at the Breakfast was a report by Dr. Harry Wirth, Director of the Division of Solar Power Plants and Modules at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (Fraunhofer ISE). Key participants in the renewable energy industry are interested in returning investment in solar power plants through support programs. The German Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (Fraunhofer ISE) has experience in launching more than 50 projects with a capacity of 3.3 GW worldwide, involving leading banks and insurance companies. Dr. Harry Wirth shared this experience in assessing technical risks, project development, design, construction, certification testing of solar power plants and solving financial issues in his report. Ulf Lohse, Chief Analyst of the German National Solar Energy Union, continued the topic of creating, developing and implementing solar energy projects in his report. He spoke about the activities of his organization, describing in detail the various business models of solar energy projects in different countries of the world.
