NP "EUROSOLAR Russia" within the framework of the business program of the international exhibition and forum "RENWEX-2021. Renewable Energy and electric transport" was the organizer of the round table on the topic "Financing of innovative R&D".
On June 24, 2021, the Chairman of the Management Board of NP EUROSOLAR Russia, Georgy Kekelidze, as a moderator, held a round table "Financing Innovative R&D".
Julie Baechtold, Deputy Director of the Swiss Business Assistance Center, Embassy of Switzerland in the Russian Federation, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening of the event.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Russian Technological University MIREA, the Swiss Innovation Agency Inno-Swiss, the venture fund FortRoss Ventures, the infrastructure center NTI Energinet, the Cluster of Energy-efficient Technologies of the Skolkovo Foundation, the Competence Center "Artificial Intelligence" NTI on the basis of MIPT, the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation.
Alexander Sigov, President of the Russian Technological University MIREA, noted that at the moment special attention is being paid to the launch of the Russian-Swiss EUREKA program. This program will allow launching a number of projects, including those related to green hydrogen and other renewable energy technologies.
Dr. Andreas Gut, Head of International Programs at the Swiss Innovation Agency Innosuisse, noted the growing interest in Russian-Swiss cooperation and announced the launch in the near future of the EUREKA pilot project jointly with the Russian Technological University MIREA, aimed at supporting joint Russian-Swiss projects in the field of renewable energy.
The discussion also discussed promising developments in the field of artificial intelligence, its application in various industries, including renewable energy.
The participants of the round table presented their successful cases on the development and application of R&D in Russia and Europe.
Andreas Dreisiebner, Project Manager of the Swiss solar Energy Association "SolarSpar", presented the project, which was partnered with the Russian company GC "Hevel", using vertically installed photovoltaic modules at facilities located in Switzerland.
Experts noted the need for cooperation for the successful implementation of R&D in the field of renewable energy.
