The experts discussed the current legislation in the sector of renewable energy microgeneration, current development trends and issues of technological connection of microgeneration facilities to distribution networks.
Barriers related to the unavailability of grid companies to the technological connection of microgeneration facilities and the fulfillment of technical conditions reflected in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 299 of 03.02.2021 were noted.
Experts in their reports noted the growing interest of the population and business in the use of renewable energy in order to reduce their own electricity consumption.
To simplify consumers' access to connecting their microgeneration facilities to distribution networks and popularize the use of renewable energy, a number of legislative initiatives were proposed, the discussion of which will continue within the framework of the working group formed from the participants of the panel discussion.
